How Can I Be Behind Already?

What a week!  One of my 2 helpers, Shelby has been sick, for over a week.  She is a French Bulldog, and so sweet.  However, it has made me behind on my Penny Patch QAL with Stitched in Color.  My first QAL too!  I have wanted to do a QAL (Quilt-a-Long) for quite some time now.  I picked this one for a two reasons - I love Stitched in Color's quilts and this is a beginners QAL, allowing a nice slow pace.  I figured the nice slow pace would work well for me if my lupus flared or I just didn't feel well. It all played out nice and tidy in my head.  Apparently, I didn't allow time for any other problems to emerge!  Especially not my dog getting this sick!  We are waiting for more blood work to come back from the vet, to see if Shelby needs to be in the hospital.  She will not leave my lap.  My other helper Al, he's Shelby's son, is raring to go!

My Crazy Quilt Life

I have sewn since I was young, but recently starting making quilts.  Now, as most of you probably don't know much about me, I will let you in on a few things.  I have a million projects going at one time.  Right now I am working on 4 quilts, plus my fun shops at Etsy.

I just love making quilts and there are so many fun ones to do.  I just can't pick one, so I am doing multiple and I am sure my number will grow as I have found at least 3 other quilts I want to do now!   I guess that makes me a quilt multi-tasker.

Since I am new to quilting, I have yet to learn how to make all of those pretty and fancy designs when you actually quilt your quilt.  Not to worry, I am reading quilting for dummies!

I decided to start a blog after seeing so many great blogs and tutorials on quilting.  I love the classic quilt and the wonky quilting is also so great, I am going to have to find my own style here sometime.  I will post some pictures of what I have going on and from where I got my information, mostly from all of you great bloggers!

Until next time.....
